Hickory Tavern - North Myrtle Beach: Welcoming Bar & Restaurant with Great Food, Drinks & Game Day Vibes

After a morning of Christmas shopping my wife and I decided to go sit at the bar of hickory tavern in NMB for drinks and appetizers. The food was great especially the hot wings, but our bartender was the best!! Cam was warm and welcoming and appeared to be very good at what he did judging from the full Bar of satisfied customers. Cam obviously loves his job and this establishment. Great job Cam!! We will be back to see you soon!

Decided to stop by the Hickory Tavern to watch the game while having a few drinks. Great place and environment for game day. They even have a few drink specials that change daily. Even a happy hour. Huge selections of beer, draft and bottle. Excellent bartenders to handle even your special requests. There’s even an enclosed outdoor area. Found the waitress to be very friendly and respectful. We had a few drafts and a large nachos that was delicious. Huge facility equipped for large groups. We’ve been here several times and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Everything - absolutely delicious! The margarita, house salad, shrimp & grits were all so yummy. Portions were large, I had to take grits home to finish them. Loved the house salad was so fresh, succulent, I would eat it all day long if I could. Service was knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. Although, I didn't notice I was charged for a sweet tea I didn't order until I added photo to this review, look at your bill closely. Main dining room is pretty cold so eating on patio was really nice alternative. I am a fan and will visit again for more of same and bringing family to try other menu items too!

I normally do not go out, especially to places I am unfamiliar with. Me and my husband decided to go out for dinner tonight at Hickory Tavern. We were greeted by the sweetest host I believe her name was Mackenzie. She was hilarious and made us feel so welcome there. The funniest part was when our server Matt was introduced to us she made sure to point out how the poor man could not whistle. I have not seen my husband laugh like that in a long time. She is just wonderful. Matt was so kind and our food was fantastic. We absolutely will be coming back soon and hope to see both of these people again!

Brittany was absolutely phenomenal! The food was delicious! Definitely a great spot to dine.

Me and some friends were in town for my birthday week and we went not once but twice while in town. That says a lot in my eyes. The first visit was for lunch, I ordered the Fiesta Salad. It was delicious! It was everything I was looking for in a salad. The second visit was for dinner. I ordered the 3 Pointer. It’s a 4oz burger, which would have been too much for me to eat. If you have big eyes and a small stomach, just order half the size. It’s 2oz instead of 4oz. It was THE BEST burger I’ve had in a long time. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had some good burgers in my time. It was cooked perfectly and the blue cheese crumbs just set it off. I can’t wait to go back. I definitely recommend you check this place out.

We’re transient cruisers and came here to watch the Steelers-Browns game while docked nearby. Getting there a little later than planned, the bar was already full and most of the tables were taken. The hostess cleared a table herself to position us close to TVs with the game we wanted to watch. Laura, our server, took good care of us despite the crowd. She was not only Southern style friendly, but proactive in her recommendations and making sure our glasses were never empty. The Reuben and tots made my husband happy, and my Tavern Salad with bacon honey mustard accompanied by a cup of crab soup were delicious! We would come back if we stay in this area again.
